Formed in Sydney in the mid 1980s, The Cannanes are one of the most celebrated underground bands of the Antipodes, with a book, a documentary and even a pair of limited edition Converse sneakers devoted to them. Over their 30 year career they have amassed 11 albums and innumerable singles on labels all around the world, and have toured the US, UK, Mexico, Japan and Europe repeatedly.

Song of the Week #3
I apolgise for the lack of posts lately, I am entering exam season in school so I don't have much time. The site upgrade should be done soon.
Anyway, this week's Song of the Week is "Vivienne" by The Cannanes. It's about someone who finds Australia all very boring and would like to be whisked off to a big city far away... I relate to it a lot. I'm very lucky to live where I do (not Australia), but also I wouldn't be opposed to being shipped away on the first flight out of here. First world problems.
